Paleachora (The Medieval Hill) Picnic
The Byzantine Hillside Picnic: Medieval Legends & Island Flavors
Discover the "Mystras of Aegina." Paleachora, the island's former medieval capital, is a hillside dotted with dozens of historic stone chapels and winding trails.
Our journey takes us up the cobblestone paths, sharing stories of pirates and saints, until we reach a breathtaking vantage point overlooking the Saronic Gulf. Here, we enjoy a "hiker’s feast" inspired by old island traditions. Feast on local Ladotyri (oil-matured cheese), sun-dried figs, traditional rusks, and seasonal treats. It is a unique blend of history, hiking, and high-altitude tasting, offering the most spectacular sunset views the island has to offer.
